Identification: Chip or Tattoo

Identification of your pet by chip or tattooing has been mandatory for the last years. Thanks to this, thousands of animals have been found.

The chip is an electromagnetic antenna that is placed on the left side of the neck, under the skin with the help of a needle, and almost painlessly.

The number given to each animal is registered together with all the corresponding owner’s data in the Rivia (Registro Informático Valenciano de Identificación Animal).
